Subdivision

Subdivision is the process of dividing a parcel of land into two or more lots, each with its own legal title. This can range from simple boundary adjustments between neighbours to large-scale residential, rural, commercial, or industrial estates. Subdivision is regulated by local councils and planning authorities to ensure that each new lot meets requirements for access, services, zoning, and environmental considerations.

As town planners, we guide landowners and developers through the subdivision process—from preparing applications and liaising with council, to coordinating surveyors, engineers, and service providers. Our role is to ensure compliance with planning laws while maximising the development potential of your land.
